Rainer Strack is a senior partner and managing director in BCG’s Düsseldorf office. He leads the Organization practice area in Europe and is a coleader of the People Advantage topic area worldwide. Strack has been a BCG Fellow since 2008.

Since joining the firm in 1994, Strack has led a wide range of projects in strategy, control, restructuring, organization, and HR management. From 1996 to 1998, he was based in BCG’s Boston office under the auspices of BCG’s Ambassador Program.

He has authored numerous articles, two of which have been published in Harvard Business Review. In 2001, he received the Erich Gutenberg Award, and in 2007 and 2009, the journal Personnel named him one of the 40 leading minds in human resources in Germany.

Strack holds master’s degrees in physics and business, and a PhD in physics (with distinction) from the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen University). For his doctoral dissertation, he won the University’s Borchers Award. In 2008, he was named an honorary professor at the Universität Witten/Herdecke (the oldest German private university).
